Mr Donut

Mr Donut

Victorian-based artisan bakery Mr Donut offers the widest range of doughnuts in Australia. Operating as a small family run business since 1979, Mr Donut comes from humble beginnings. Nowadays they operate a large food processing facility with an automated production line to help meet demand. Located in Melbourne, Mr Donut is a wholesale provider to supermarkets and retailers around Australia.

Mr Donut has a large variety of delicious products consisting of American doughnuts, gourmet doughnuts, cake doughnuts, mini doughnuts, patisseries, muffins and more. Operating an efficient production line is critical to the success of their business. So when their exhaust fan stopped working, they contacted Fanquip with an urgent request.

At Fanquip we understand that downtime costs businesses each and every minute production has stopped. The location of this fan was above the main fryer, so due to OH&S regulations production in this location had to cease until this fan could be replaced. Fanquip supplied a heavy-duty aluminium bladed axial fan to remove steam, oil and heat generated by the fryer below. The aluminium blade upgrade enables the fan to be used in extreme temperatures whilst handling higher static pressure and airflow levels.

All Fanquip axial fans are Australian-made and assembled at our manufacturing facility in Prestons, Sydney. Featuring an external junction box, this exhaust fan is hot dipped galvanised with an industrial rolled casing. Options also include flameproof for hazardous locations or stainless steel casings for corrosive environments, all available in a size range of 300mm-2,200mm in diameter. Motor power ranges from 0.37kW to 22kW with an air volume of 654 litres per second (L/s) to 55,440 L/s. See our full range of specs for our direct drive axial flow fans here.
